Without GPX track

The 3D relief of a mountain or a significant place

Some places don't need a stopwatch, a bib, or a GPX file to matter. The mountain seen from the family home window, the village where it all began, the summit climbed on a summer day. Epic Trace turns these into a 3D topographic relief map faithful to the actual terrain, mounted on an oak base — simply choose the area on the map.

What story?

Six Reasons to Highlight a Place

No need for a grand gesture: a simple attachment is enough. To give, or to treat yourself.

The one you'd recognize out of a thousand
Favorite mountain

The one you'd recognize out of a thousand

The mountain of all your summers, the peak that dominates the family valley, the silhouette you look for with your eyes every time you return: that mountain deserves a place on your shelf.

We all have our own mountain to climb.

Where it all began
Childhood home

Where it all began

The grandparents' village, the valley of first hikes, the region we left but never forgot. The landscape holds it all, that past, that eternal place.

A piece of our home, in yours.

The location of your meeting
Two-person story

The location of your meeting

The refuge where you met, the peak of the proposal, the wedding village: give the exact location of a moment for two, with the date engraved in oak.

Some landscapes are the beginning of a story.

The place where we return
Holiday resort

The place where we return

The island of every summer, the coast of holidays, the lake of weekends: a local landscape to look at all year long while waiting to return.

Holiday memories, in volume.

Take your region with you
New beginning

Take your region with you

Moving, expatriation, retirement: the landscape of the country we leave behind is a gift that stays with us — for a colleague, a friend, or for ourselves.

To leave, without truly going away.

A place in memory of someone
Tribute

A place in memory of someone

A father's mountain, a friend's path, a grandmother's village: a landscape feature can also discreetly honor the place that connected one to a person.

Places hold those we love.

How does it work

No file to provide: the location is sufficient

Everything happens on the configurator map. And if you still have a track to add, the relief can receive it — up to three.

01

Find your location on the map

Search for the mountain, village, or region directly in the configurator, without any files.

02

Frame and orient

You choose the exact area, framing, and orientation: centered on the summit, the valley, or the village.

03

Visualize your creation in 3D

Ridges, valleys, and slopes of the actual terrain, on screen, before ordering.

04

We manufacture your part

3D printing, optional engraving of the oak base, assembly, and quality control before shipping.

Your creation is made from the configuration you validate.

The engraving

"45.8326 N, 6.8652 E" — say that in coordinates

Two lines of 40 characters carved into the oak. The name of the place and a year, a first name, a family word — or the GPS coordinates of the exact location, for those who will know how to read them.

  • A place name, a date, a first name – or GPS coordinates
  • Faithful to real-world terrain: ridges, valleys, slopes
  • 3D preview before ordering
  • Made in France, solid oak base
For a gift

The gift for the person who has everything

An Epic Trace of a meaningful place touches precisely because it doesn't look like any gift list: it proves you know the person's story. You know their place – create their piece yourself in minutes. Hesitating between several locations? The Epic Trace gift card lets them choose.

And if the person is more the type to trek through mountains, take a look at our gift ideas for hikers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before choosing your location

Have a question that isn't answered here? Write to us; we'll respond within 1 to 2 business days.

Do you need a file or a trace?

No, nothing at all. You look for the location on the configurator map, frame it, and that's it. If you still want to add a route, the relief accepts up to three GPX tracks.

What size area can be represented?

You decide on the framing in the configurator: a single peak, an entire valley, a mountain range. The 3D preview shows you exactly what each framing will look like before you confirm.

Can a place abroad be represented?

The configurator allows you to search for and frame your desired area directly on the map. If you are unsure about a specific location, contact us: we will verify it with you.

Does a flat or coastal location work well?

The relief highlights the forms of the terrain: the more striking the landscape, the more spectacular the piece. For a coast, an island, or a gentle region, the 3D preview allows you to judge the rendering before ordering—and we can advise you on the framing.
